Mood:  bright
I was searching around on "the web" this weekend, trying to find some piano sheet music, and I got a little distracted and started reading up on some past MSU football players. I guess the RAMS picked up Jeff Smoker! For those of you who do not know, he was the quarterback for MSU last year. It's cool to see college players move up to the professional level - after they graduate of course!

Now Playing: R-E-S-P-E-C-T ~ Aretha Franklin
I am really glad that it is Friday. It seems like it's been a very long week. But then again, I don't even know where the time has gone. Really, I haven't really been able to accomplish anything at home. My room is still a mess from before I was on vacation. I haven't practice my piano sheet music at all. I am going to have to do a lot this weekend!

Mood:  caffeinated
Sunday I found out that a lady from my church plays piano completely by ear. You can play a song once, give her a couple minutes and you'll hear her playing it on the piano. They put piano sheet music up on the piano, but it's just for show! Man, I'm jealous. :) I can't play piano very well at all. That would be cool if I could do that!

I'm BACK
Mood:  hungry
Now Playing: Something There - From The Beauty & The Beast
Hey everyone! I'm back, incase you didn't know I was gone, I was! I have been at Camp Mack for a week. I was a counselor there, and had 11 fourth and fifth grade girls to take care of for a week! I lost my voice (and no, not from yelling at them). At camp we do a lot of fun and crazy stuff that involves yelling at times. I have it back already, for the most part. There were a lot of fun skits and games that we played. I learned some new songs and motions for the songs. I'm going to see if I can find the piano sheet music for some of them and teach some of the other younger kids at church. We can break out the guitar too, if there are guitar chords with the piano sheet music. The kids would be able to sing along with all of the songs right away, instead of trying to learn it all at once when it is there turn to go to Camp Mack! Well, I should probably get back to reality and start working again...

Now Playing: Someone To Watch Over Me - George & Ira Gershwin
I just bought this 3 CD set of all Gerswin hits and I love listening to it! It's very relaxing, just sitting around, listening to the piano play the melodies of some of their greatest songs. When I get married, I'm going to find the piano sheet music for some of these songs and have them played. It will be very romantic!

a crazy week

Now Playing: Matthew West - Happy
I have been listening to Matthew West's CD Happy a lot this week and I absolutely love it! I like the sound of his music. I am going to find the piano sheet music for the first song on the CD called "I love you more" so that I can play and sing it myself!

GO USA!
Mood:  lucky
Has anyone noticed the cool music they have for the Olympic Games? I was watching some of the pre-olympic events, looking to see who would make it to the olympics in Athens, and I heard the Fanfare that is played at the beginning and was like "Cool!" I think it would be awesome to find piano sheet music for that. I like how the trumpet sounds, but without multiple trumpets, you can't get the chords and stuff to make it sound like the original. I think John Williams composed it - and he is just awesome! Back to work now...

Now Playing: I Believe In You & Me - Whitney Houston
Wednesday I went to Chicago to see a Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament. It was really cool! If you have never been to one of these, you are definitely missing out. It is in a big arena, and the seating is split up into 6 different sections - with different colors. Each section/color has its own knight that they are supposed to cheer for during the games and battle. When they were introducing important people like the King and Princess or making announcements, two trumpet players came out and played, I thought that would be so much fun to do! It made me think about the different kinds of instruments they had back then. I was wondering, did they have pianos? If they did, would they have used piano sheet music or would they have just played by ear? I guess I will need to look into that a little more.
